How much notice do you need for funeral flowers?

Funeral designs such as wreaths and posies, 24 hours notice is needed. We have a beautiful range of funeral flowers that can be ordered online; ideal for when time is short, or you are miles away but still wish to send farewell flowers to the funeral.

For more bespoke funeral flowers such as letters, large coffin sprays and bespoke tributes  we ask for as much notice as possible, with a minimum of 3 working days preferred. This is to allow plenty of time for us to source and carefully create the funeral design.

What is a bespoke funeral tribute?

A bespoke funeral tribute, also known as a specialist funeral tribute, is a unique design created especially in memory of your loved one.  So this could be a design to represent a hobby such as sailing or darts, a beloved pet, or their favourite sports team shirt. That’s the beauty of bespoke tributes; they are heartfelt and deeply personal, and it’s always an honour for us to be involved in making them.

Carefully crafted by hand in either 2D or 3D,  we cleverly use materials such as fresh flowers, ribbon, foliage, natural decorations – even fruit and vegetables for allotment lovers – to create bespoke funeral tributes.

Have a browse of our bespoke funeral tributes gallery for ideas and inspiration. As they are all bespoke made, we can get really creative with colours and themes.

How much does a Bespoke Funeral Tribute cost?

As each floral tribute is so unique in design, we can have a chat during your appointment about the best options available within your budget.

How do I order a Specialist Funeral Tribute?

As a Bespoke Funeral Tribute is so personal, it's best for us to talk if possible. This gives us a chance to discuss your ideas and requirements from the floral tribute, and we can then ensure the design is just right.

Blooms and Butterflies

A lovely addition to funeral flowers is the option to release Butterflies. A local Isle of Wight business, Butterflies for Occasions, offers this for funerals and memorials. It is a unique and memorable touch

What funeral flowers should I choose?

Honestly, there is no right or wrong when choosing funeral flowers. We can help if you are finding it hard to pick, and we find it can be really lovely to chose a design that is made in your loved ones favourite colours or using their favourite flower.

We would normally recommend that larger funeral tributes - which are the main flowers on the day -  such as casket sprays and bespoke tributes are ordered by close family members.

The Summer Lilly's team are here to help and give some guidance, so just reach out to us if you want to chat about which funeral flowers to choose.
